Haze - Beijing Contemporary Dance Theater

Modern Dance is a relatively new discipline in China, the focus has always been on the more traditional forms and styles. The Beijing Contemporary Dance Theater, founded in 2008, is the first official contemporary dance company in a country that has always taken grace and movement very seriously. “Haze” refers to the blank space the company dances on, all performed on a spongy mat that allows them to balance, roll and often hit the floor in ways that will be unlike anything you have ever seen. Choreographed by Wang Yuanyuan whose resume includes the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics, this promises to be an unforgettable show. Tickets are available from € 25,-.
