Philips Museum (opening Q3 2012)

The 'Little Old Factory', the place where Philips started producing its very first lightbulbs back in 1891, will be the core of the new Philips Museum in Eindhoven. The museum will give an overview of the rich history of this multinational company from its start in 1891 until today. Important developments in technology, society and culture will be on the basis of the exposition. A special design is made by GSG Architects in which the former factory will be put in some kind of glass case. Construction works take place right now, the expected opening will be in the second quarter of 2012.
